This website (wx-watch.co.uk) is a completely non-commercial, amateur hobby weather station run for the local community in Long Sutton, Lincolnshire. We care deeply about privacy and only process data necessary to run the site.
This website is entirely cookie-free. We do not generate, store, or place any cookies or trackers on your browser or device, nor do we run any commercial tracking scripts (such as Google Analytics or advertising networks).
When you load this website, our server increments a simple hit counter. To make the counter interesting, we show the countries of our most recent visitors. To do this, we read your IP address temporarily to query an IP geolocation service (ip-api.com) and retrieve your approximate country (e.g., Malaysia, United Kingdom).
Your IP address is processed temporarily in memory to filter out duplicate hit spam. We do not log, save, or store your IP address in any database or file, and it is never shared with third parties.
We embed interactive maps from Windy.com. These maps run in isolated windows (iframes). Windy may use cookies internally to remember settings (like map scale). We do not collect or have access to any data generated by these embeds.
